Updated: EA's Crysis 2, new Alice game gone from Steam
Update (June 15, 2011, 9:55 a.m. PT): Electronic Arts sent us this statement in regard to the removal of Crysis 2 from Steam: "It's unfortunate that Steam has removed Crysis II from their service. This was not an EA decision or the result of any action by EA. Steam has imposed a set of business terms for developers hoping to sell content on that service--many of which are not imposed by other online game services. Unfortunately, Crytek has an agreement with another download service which violates the new rules from Steam and resulted in its expulsion of Crysis II from Steam."
We've asked EA for clarification regarding Alice: The Madness Returns also disappearing from Steam. We've also reached out to Valve Software for comment, and will update with any further information accordingly.
We expected Electronic Arts would take steps to direct customers toward Origin, its new PC game download service . Thus it's not entirely surprising to find this morning that EA has removed its Crysis 2 and its new Alice: Madness Returns for purchase from Valve Software's competing Steam service.
Despite their disappearance from Steam, you can still buy both games from other digital distribution services like Amazon, GameStop's Impulse, and GameFly's Direct2Drive. Market research on gaming download services is scarce, but an estimate by Deals4Downloads earlier this month indicates that Steam has just over 51 percent of the market, with its closest competitor, Direct2Drive, claiming only a 17 percent share. That breakdown, if it's accurate, paints a rather large target on Steam, which might explain why EA would take action against Valve's service alone.
You can still find other Electronic Arts games on Steam, including recent titles like Darkspore, Dragon Age II: Origins, and Bulletstorm, along with perennial best seller the Sims 3, which suggests EA does not yet have a blanket policy against selling its games through Steam. Of Electronic Arts' remaining Steam titles, only the Sims 3 and Darkspore, the latter a recipient of a 40 percent price cut, are listed among Steam's top 20 best-selling games.
Obviously EA isn't about sales or customer service or they wouldn't inconvenice their customers by pulling the plug on Steam. Clearly it's not a Steam issue or they would pull the rest.Ea Battlefield 2142 - News

First up was Battlefield 3 (or BF3 for short). We've been fans of the Battlefield franchise since the days of BF 1942, all the way through Vietnam, BF2, 2142, and the Bad Company saga. BF3 is a title that every PC gamer should be looking forward to,

Whilst researching this article we also found out that you won't be able to cook grenades and also the gun recoil will be similar to that of Battlefield 2142. Lots of other neat Battlefield 3 information was revealed during E3 2011, if you some how

This is coming from someone who is a Battlefield player since the days of 1942, Vietnam, Battlefield 2, and Bad Company 2 (we don't talk about 2142). Also, we must caution EA. On E3, we heard a lot of chatter about EA's newly launched Origin store and

Battlefield 2142 - Concept Art - Electronic Arts UK Community
I got the map concept art from an old BF thread, but it was hacked long ago, all the messages being replaced with "LOL OWNED!" or something like that. Since then, there has been no sign of those pieces of concept art. Well, fortunately, I saved all of those pictures into my computer before that thread got hacked and I decided to (because I was bored) to make a video showing every single piece of 2142 concept art that was released to us (including the map art, award art and the ones for advertising) for anyone who was interested. --- Northern Mountain Pass (Cancelled Map) - "northern_pass" - The reason why there were planets in the background of the image was because Battlefield 2142 was originally intended to be based on another planet, a war between US and Russian colonies in space. This was changed later to Earth being consumed by an Ice Age with a war between the EU and PAC for reasons I do not know, maybe they wanted it to be a more 'down-to-earth" sci-fi? That 2142 concept art video you're referring to was also made by me, but it was a long time ago. Back then I used to make videos with WMM (a really REALLY BAD video editing program) for my YouTube channel. Once I got the Adobe Master Collection in 2009, I decided to delete all the videos I made in WMM and switch to Adobe (the concept art video included, the quality was so bad that I just had to delete it). To prove that I made that video, I will tell you which song I used for the video which I never mentioned in the description/comment section. The video used the Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy theme song , here it is: Haha, not that thing again. That jet hanger art wasn't originally created for Battlefield 2142 (can't remember exactly what it was for, but definitely not 2142). The original version of that concept art didn't have the words "2142 - BATTLEFIELD" or the EU recon guys on there, it was supposed to demonstrate some kind of near-futuristic hanger for something along with other images like it (one from the point of view of some air marshals in a command center somewhere etc). A couple years ago I found this art on the "ConceptShips.com" website, posted it on the UKCE clan forums (an old 2142 clan), and mentioned that it looked like the Tech 3 UEF Air Superiority Fighter ( here is the fighter ) from the first Supreme Commander game and that it had a kind of 2142-theme to it.
