“Most people won’t notice any difference,” Reese said. “The local bands will actually bring something we haven’t had in a while, which is the local crowd who follows those bands because Zac Flowers has his own little following and Dallas has a regional following now. But, the fact of the matter is, most people who come out that day come for the fireworks and the fireworks will be bigger and better than ever.” After a five-year relationship with Zambelli Fireworks International, Villa Rica has switched its contract to Bay Fireworks and this year’s display will not only feature more individual fireworks, but they will be computer-synchronized to music and fired from four locations rather than one. Last year there was an attempt at synchronization, but it was manually done. “This will be a computer-fired program synchronized to the highs in the program,” Reese said. “The whole show will just be a lot better this year. We wanted to take it up a notch this year because we’ve done just about everything we can do every year to make them bigger and better, and the next logical step was for us to go to a synchronized show that was truly computer-fired.” Like Zambelli, Bay Fireworks is known for producing spectacular events at some of the great venues in the country. Among the company’s accomplishments are featured fireworks displays at the International Fireworks Symposium at Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort, Kennedy Space Center, “America’s 400th Anniversary” at Jamestown, Va., and at various professional baseball and football events.
