OMI Brass D&RGW Rio Grande M-64 4-8-4
Overland Rio Grande M-64. I am not the original owner of the engine. Whoever it was added a good looking coal load, crew, and Kadee coupler on the pilot. All are well done. I bought the engine from the Caboose about 3 or 4 years ago and it has spent most of its time in my showcase. But, I have run it on many occasions and it performs flawlessly. It runs VERY smooth and quiet. Engine is in excellent condition. No driver plating wear. ,It has a factory paint job and constant light. I think OMI made 4 diferent models of M-64's. This one has the long vertical smoke abatement canisters and a two piece running board. It is numbered 1705. The engine is heavy so shipping is a little higher than normal. Original box has a spot about the size of a penny on top, otherwise it is great. Foam has been replaced with I believe REBOXX since it is black. Parts bag and driver wrench are included. You will not be disappointed with the running or condition of the engine. I am thinning out my collection due to my age. No overseas sales unless you have someone I can ship the engine to in the US. Canada is OK but shipping cost is double the US.
