How do I buy a boat from out of State? - The Hull Truth - Boating and ...

Having bought several boats from across the United States, I must ask why you would not see the boat before you do anything. Tickets are cheap compared to getting ripped off on a boat, car or any other major purchase. Seeing and run yourself, you know what (if any) damage, stains or defects, it was appropriate to discuss with the sender. Take lots of pictures and the seller will be less likely to alter, remove or replace something. You will also know what comes with the boat, things like the anchor is mounted, the wings of the lines, batteries, life jackets or anything else. You will also try all the electronics and at least know how they will occur when the boat arrives. If you do not like what you see, you save the cost of the investigation and the mechanic I strongly agree on the need for an investigation, what happens when you look at the boat and before payment is made . The paperwork should include a bill written by hand for the sale by the vendor list of serial numbers found on the hull, engines and electronics. This way, you are not protected if something happens with a bad serial number. Hull numbers are in the gel coat and very easy to change.
