Neil Diamond tribute band Diamond is Forever! performs Saturday, July 10 at Lake Poway. Scottish and Celtic Folk band Susan Craig Winsberg & Blackwaterside perform Saturday, July 17 at Old Poway Park. The Corvettes perform Saturday, July 24 at Lake Poway. Country and western swing band Dave Dekker & Swing West Band performs Saturday, July 31 at Old Poway Park. Jimmy Buffett tribute band CoastRiders performs Saturday, Aug. 7 at Lake Poway. The Downtown Business Association is presenting “A Star Spangled Evening with Rita Coolidge,” in support of beautification in Escondido’s downton business improvement district 5:30 – 10 p.m. Thursday, June 30 at The Centre at Lexus Escondido, 1205 Auto Park Way, Escondido. Guests will enjoy a starlit evening of food, wine, auctions and an intimate song set by two-time Grammy winner Rita Coolidge, as well as other live music and dancing. Tickets are $25. Choeur d’Enfant de L’Isle de France (The Children’s Choir of France) performs at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 2 at San Rafael Catholic Church, 17252 Bernardo Center Drive, Rancho Bernardo. Included in the performance will be classical music of many nations, folk music of “La Belle France,” plus a special tribute to the music of the United States.

The youth choir is from the Music Conservatory of Levallois (near Paris) and the youngsters range in age from 10-14 years.

The Carmel Mountain Ranch/Sabre Springs Recreation Center is offering free summer concerts 6 -8 p.m. Saturday, July 30th, with The Corvettes, and Saturday, Aug. 13, with JD and the Blues Busters. Hamburgers, hot dogs and corn on the cob will be sold. The Aug, 13 concert will feature a prize drawing that benefits park improvements. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. The recreation center is located at 10152 Rancho Carmel Drive.
